ImageEd Beach - Founder & President of HPSA

Ed Beach has over 15 years of experience teaching the game of soccer. Ed now spends his time running HPSA and is currently the Technical Director of the Great Falls Soccer Club (HPSA contract) and is integral in the development and advancement of the GFA program which has been very successful in preparing and placing numerous players at the collegiate level.  Coach Beach guided the GFA ’91 Elite to 3 consecutive VYSA State Cup Championships has two years of collegiate coaching experience at George Mason University (2000) and Salisbury State University (1994).  Ed played four years at George Mason University.  Upon graduation he trained with several professional teams in Germany.

 

ImageMark Ryan – Vice President of HPSA

Mark Ryan has over 8 years of experience teaching the game of soccer. A former Assistant Coach for the Men's Soccer Team at George Mason University (1998-2000), Ryan has gained valuable experience and expertise at the Division I collegiate level in all aspects of managing a nationally competitive program. Ryan holds both English FA and USSF Coaching Licenses. At the youth level, Ryan currently coaches in the National Capital Soccer League and is the Director of Coaching - Northern District Olympic Development Program. Mark currently is Technical Director of Recreational Programs for Great Falls Soccer (HPSA contract). As a player, Ryan represented England at Youth Level and player for 2 years with the Manchester United Youth Development Program (1992-1994). Ryan played for George Mason University for 4 years (1994-1997), and led them to a NCAA tournament appearance in 1996. Ryan holds a BA in Communications and a MA in Sports Administration.

ImageDanny Climo - Director of Speed, Agility, & Fitness Programs

Danny Climo has over 5 years of experience teaching the game of soccer.  Climo has gained valuable coaching experience playing both abroad in England and in the U.S.  Climo currently holds his USSF Coaching Licenses and is continuing to progress through these courses each year. At the youth level, Climo currently coaches in the National Capital Soccer League and is the Director of both School Programs and Speed and Agility Programs for HPSA. Climo has also been coaching in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) for the past 3 years.  As a player, Climo played for Tranmere Rovers (Division 1 Professional Team – 1998-2000) in England, and was also a 4 year starter at George Mason University (NCAA Division 1 – 2001-2004). Climo currently holds a HNC in Sports Science and a BA in Exercise Science.
